How it works
Tell us what's wrong
Ring us or fill in the form with your postcode and what's going on.
A local engineer rings you
We pass it to one Gas Safe registered engineer who covers your area, not a list of firms.
You get a price first
They quote before any work starts. You decide, and you pay them directly.
What to expect
If your boiler is over 12 to 15 years old and breaking down regularly, replacing it can cost less in the long run and lower your gas bills. A proper quote should include the boiler, a system flush or filter, the flue, controls, removal of the old unit, registration with the manufacturer, and the warranty length.
Typical cost in Newcastle: £1,500 to £3,500. Your engineer confirms the price before starting.
Who we pass your job to
We don't send your details round lots of firms. Every engineer we work with has to meet these.
- Gas Safe registered, with an ID card you can check before they start
- Carries public liability insurance
- Based on Tyneside, not a national call centre
- Gives you a price before starting any work
New boiler quotes: common questions
Can't see your question? Ring 07380 307279 or ask for a call back.
How long does it take to fit a new boiler?
Swapping a combi for a new combi in the same place usually takes a day. Moving the boiler, or changing from a system boiler and cylinder to a combi, can take two or three days.
What should a quote include?
The boiler, flue, a system flush or cleanse, a magnetic filter, controls, taking the old boiler away, and registering the new one under Building Regulations. It should also say how long the warranty is.
Can I get a grant for a new boiler?
Some households can. Homeowners on a low income whose gas boiler has stopped working, with someone aged 65 or over or under 5 at home, may qualify for the LEAP boiler scheme. Our guide to free help with boilers and heating lists the schemes.
Who registers the new boiler?
Your Gas Safe engineer registers it under Building Regulations, and you should get a compliance certificate in the post within a few weeks. Keep it with your house papers, as you'll need it if you sell.
